EDF Inc. has designed Jet Engine Test Facilities since 1978, and completed well over 10,000 projects related to the testing of Gas Turbine Engines. For each project, we have an experienced team of designers and engineers responsible for the overall design, engineering and drafting of the major hardware assemblies and sub-assemblies of jet engine test cells. EDF also provided procurement drawings and specifications along with construction management for assembly and installation.
The technical challenges of designing a jet engine test facility require extensive experience with performance characteristics, and logistics of usage. We understand the fabrication process, assembly and installation, harsh acoustic environments, vibration, temperature, pressure and airflow issues. A key issue is the long term maintenance and operational costs of running these test facilities; EDF has extensive knowledge in minimizing these costs and extending the life of test equipment and facilities.
